Insurance & Warranty

Our cover

2V Projects Ltd carries the following insurance, available on request before contract:

• Public Liability Insurance — £5 million per claim
• Employers' Liability Insurance — £10 million per claim (statutory minimum is £5m)
• Professional Indemnity Insurance — £2 million per claim, for design services
• Contract Works "All Risks" Insurance — placed project-specific, typically £250k–£2m cover depending on scope

HomePro registered contractor

2VP is a registered HomePro contractor, which means an independently-underwritten 10-year insurance-backed guarantee is available on your project if you want it. It is optional and arranged at your request: you take it out with HomePro and pay them directly, at 2.5% of the contract value. 2VP never invoices it. What you get on every contract at no extra cost is the 12-month workmanship warranty on second-fix fittings backed by us and signed by the trades who did the work. The reason the HomePro cover is worth considering is that it is underwritten independently — even if 2VP were to cease trading, it remains enforceable directly against the HomePro underwriter for the full 10 years.

What the HomePro guarantee covers, if you take it

• Structural integrity — foundations, walls, floors, roofs
• Workmanship — the standard of our construction work and the work of our trades
• Deposit protection — every 2VP contract opens with a 10% deposit at signing; HomePro covers it where you have taken the guarantee out

Your architect

Nick Elias Architects carries separate architect-grade Professional Indemnity Insurance, covering the design work on every 2VP project. Certificates available on request.
